Petlaria is a community and micro-donation platform for nearby pro-animal projects: shelters, cat colonies, foster homes and medical cases of individual animals. You discover verified projects in your area, donate what you want, once or monthly, and follow where every euro goes. It started in Spain and is in its launch phase.
No. Petlaria is a technology platform that connects donors with pro-animal projects and organizations, some of which are registered associations or shelters. Petlaria facilitates the donation and verifies each project, but it is not itself a charity.
Each project is published by an identified person or association, and the Petlaria team reviews it before it appears: who leads it, what it needs and why. The project also posts updates with photos and explains where the money went. If something looks off, you can flag it right from the project page.
Most of it. Petlaria charges a small service fee, always shown before you confirm the donation, and the rest goes to the project. The goal is for the cost to be minimal and transparent: no surprises, no hidden charges, and every movement is recorded in your history.
Yes. When donating you choose between a one-time gift or a monthly recurring one, starting from small amounts. You can change or cancel it anytime from your wallet. Many projects, like a cat colony or a medical treatment, have fixed monthly costs, so steady support changes their situation.
Yes, an account is needed so you can see your donation history, set up recurring gifts, and manage your wallet. Sign-up is quick and only asks for the essentials.
Petlaria starts in Spain and launches gradually, province by province, to make sure every project is properly verified before growing. We will open new regions and countries as the community grows.
We require periodic updates from every project about how the money is spent. Any donor can report a project from its own page if something does not add up, and the Petlaria team reviews it and can remove a project that breaks its promise.
We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We never share or sell your data to third parties, and payments are processed securely through a specialized payment provider.
It is a future feature: pet product brands will offer discounts that turn into balance in your wallet to donate, at no cost to you. It is not active today. We will turn it on once the community is large enough to bring brands on board, and we will notify everyone on the waitlist.
Join the waitlist and select I have a project. When we open it up, you will create your project in two minutes: upload a photo, describe the case in your own words, and the AI drafts the story and suggests a goal. After verification you get a link and a QR poster to share with your people.
Usually less than a day. We check the identity of the person requesting it, the cause, and the payout account before approving it and publishing it with its poster and QR code.
